Rear shims install price?

How much would you pay or charge to have rear shims installed on a mk3 golf vr?

Are you just looking for a labor cost or do you need the shims too? I've got the special wrench to get at them if you want to take a trip out to LI. I'll do the work for you for $50 if you need help.

Here's the deal, a friend of mine owns a shop,I left my car there to install the rear shims but he's charging me $150. I thought it was too much so I turned to here to get an opinion and tell him what the job is worth in reality not cause he had a bad month

That still didn't answer the question though, does the $150 include the cost of the shims or is that just for labor? It's a more involved process to get the hub off if you don't have the special wrench, he may be incorporating that into the charge.

I had the shims. He installed them no problem,I just thought $150 was too much.
