Vortex GTG at Proficient!

So today was not such a good day for the wife. Some chick thought it would be a good idea to try to pass her on a single lane road while she was trying to make a left turn. So this is what her JSW TDI looks like now...





Wife is fine, and the other chick got cuffed and stuffed for a bunch of outstanding warrants. Guess you shouldn't drive like a moron when the cops are looking for you.

So as we were getting the car dropped off at Mike's shop (who else would we go to...right?) we did notice a few of the texer's cars over there. Just thought it funny that the largest GTG for a while is now over at Proficient Auto Body.

Yeah I was Andy's JSW sitting there with it's back bumper missing, and there was a Toureg sitting out front. Pretty sad that our cars are dropping like flies.

I'm just having them clean up a few things while I'm not using the Wagen every day. Someone scraped up my front valance (not me or Briar), and I opened my back door and banged it on a wall (not a euphemism), so the rear bumper and rear 1/4 need blended. I pulled the valance and bumper to make it easier on Mike. Because that's just the kind of guy I am.
Looking forward to having it back in my garage on Friday!

My wife bent the front of our tig up pretty good.. I didnt touch a thing when i brought it to him lol

Yeah the way the pics are is how it was dropped off by the tow truck. Mike says the parts should be in sometime tomorrow so they can start rebuilding it. The wheel is already back from the refinisher and a new tire was needed. Thankfully everything structural hasn't been touched, it was all cosmetic with the exception of the drivers side knuckle. Also a new Wolfsburg grille was ordered this morning, so it'll have a nose job as part of this whole thing. Still sucks though.

just moved into a new house and that's eating my free time. Soon, very soon.

I feel ya, we just bought a place at the end of March. Lots of unexpected costs with moving into a new house.

A huge thanks to Mike and Proficient, they worked their butts off and get my wife's wagon back already. I'm very surprised they were able to get it done so fast. Car looks amazing, and we couldn't be happier with the whole experience.
