I need help finding someone that can flash my ecu to ignore the SAI code. I removed my secondary air system a while ago and now have to go through emissions but can't pass due to improper flow code. I haven't had any luck in finding a shop that can help. Any suggestions or if someone knows who can help out it would be MUCH appreciated as my tags are way overdue. I guess I should say this is for my mk4 1.8t....

I'd be interested in this too, just finishing up the SAI/N249/PCV/EVAP delete on my car.

It's a common CYA disclaimer to avoid federal emissions regulations. All companies use it when selling exhausts, lights etc. that don't meet standards.

Here's a novel idea: did you keep the original air pump, hoses etc.

Is the mod you did so permanent that it easily cannot be UNdone?

I would think that would have been the easiest thing to do to get it past emissions and once past you can pull all that stuff off again.

You could buy Maestro from Eurodyne and delete everything yourself.

No need for sarcasm man, I'm not an idiot. I can put the system back together but that is a last resort and it shouldn't come to that. It shouldn't be this freaking hard to flash my ECU to forget the code forever. I don't want to reinstall every time I need to pass emissions. This is something done by a lot of people yet it seems almost impossible for me to get a flash. I know there are people in Phoenix that are capable of doing this but for some reason they keep screwing me around and won't quit playing games and do it.

My wife drives the car every day so I can't send the ECU away. I guess if no one in Phoenix is capable of doing this, which seems to be the case. I will have to resort back to reinstalling the system. I never thought this was going to be such an ordeal

Cough cough eurodyne. They send you a cable and you can flash and delete on your own. Anything from stock to big turbo files with different cams intake manifolds and throttlebodies.

^^I really appreciate the help man.

As far as Eurodyne goes I'm just not looking to spend a that kind of money. There are options like that but too costly for me at this time.

John I didn't mention you personally so I don't get your comment. I'm just generally tired of dicking around with this issue. I've been to Phoenix twice to try and take care of it through multiple people but for whatever reason it hasn't happened.

I talked to Reflected, he said he could do it (unless you have aftermarket programming, something like APR) for $50, but he is not local, so you would have to send your ECU off.

Thanks for the help, I really do appreciate it. Prob is I have a Revo tune already and sending my ecu away isn't an option I can entertain. Once again thanks for the help but I'm gonna have to find another way to take care of this
