Hello everyone,
looking to sell a 1970 beetle. I purchased the car from a friend in March who built the car about 10 years ago. Future living arrangements will make it difficult for me to keep this car. Current KM's are unknown - reads 36,000KM, 6 previous owners, All from Ontario.
SOLD
PM or email - giuliano.gallo82@gmail.com
Details of the car:
1970 Standard Beetle
4 Speed 1600CC
Porsche Arena Red Metallic Paint
Narrowed front beam with Front disk brakes, Rear lowered as well
Empi 8 spoke style rims
One piece window's
Early 60's front fenders and front lights (turn signals in front light housing)
Euro Blade bumpers
Custom Hotrod Cylinder gas tank
Carpeted Front Trunk
Low back front seats custom upholstery
Custom System (replaces rear sear, 3x10" subs with 2 MTX amps, dual batteries, 4" speakers in the front and rear sides)
I bought a rear seat because I was planning on removing the system and bringing the car back to the original look. (needs to be re-done)
Clairon CD/MP3 Deck
Momo Steering wheel
Gage works, just not the fuel gage because the custom tank wasn't installed with a sending unit.
Body:
Floor pan is solid, Running boards/heater channel should be looked at (no holes but rusting). When I was getting the rear height adjust I noticed some dime sized holes in the rear wheel house.
Other parts included in the sale:
New - German rubber beading for all 4 fenders
New - Rubber inserts for bumper supports
New - Antenna delete cap
New - Bentley Manual
New - Bag of interior clips
1970 rear view mirror and sun visors (currently not installed in car)
Overall the car is in good condition. It runs and drives, (current stickers are expired), brakes work (e-brake), Lights as well.
Issues that were going to be tackled:
Looks like one of the valve gasket is leaking, I replaced it but it still drips some oil. Car was sitting for a couple years. I wanted to get the motor rebuilt or replaced. The Carb may need to be replaced as well.
Front Passenger Fender needs to be repainted, Previous owner had to repaint it and its peeling. It looks like the primer didn't do its job.
Interior can be touched up. I was going to re-upholster the seats when I got the rear seat as well as possible new door panels.
Front beam had a crack and it was repaired (welded with a bracket)
Needs for Safety:
Horn needs to be fixed and there is no windshield wiper fluid container (wipers do work).
In all it's a good car to drive around, could be more if you have the time to put into it. I'm not as mechanically inclined at the moment. Part's for the car are inexpensive, If you have some good friends that know how to fix car's it be a huge benefit.

Nice looking car. In for more pics if you've got them!

The car is located in Bolton, the missing centre cap has been replaced.
In the 2nd and 3rd picture you can see where the paint is damaged. I could get a better picture of the fender that needs to be painted.
