The dealer installing "Xylion" and.... they made this mess!

You can see it in certain lights/angles.

It looks like little scratches but when you get up close to the spot, it disappears.

Its hard to see in the pix but does it look like a miniature version of this?

If so they are holograms put there by someone using a rotary buffer and not knowing what they were doing ..

They either polished the car out prior to the "Xylion" or applied the "Xylion" with a buffer ( which they shouldn't do)

To get rid of them you will have to have it polished out with a PC type of R/A buffer and the correct pads and polish. BUT this is going to remove the "Xylion".

I wouldn't try anything on your own ... go to the dealer and bitch ... for the $500 you paid thats terrible ..

First off, don't let the dealer wash / 'protect' / 'buff' etc your vehicle. Now that they have messed it up, your only recourse with them should be to get them to pay to have it professionally resolved by a detailer or body shop of your choice. Choose wisely.

At any rate, those are hologram marks /buffer burn / rids / whatever you want to call them. Caused by improper washing, improper surface prep, improper polishing / sealing / using a dirty pad / etc. They can be repaired by buffing out the surface and getting things right again, but like I said, don't let the dealer do this as they have already displayed how much they care about your vehicle.

the best part of this? I NEVER ASKED FOR XYLION.

but i'm a girl, and people take advantage.

i'm just going to let it go and forget it. i thought maybe there was something that could be done to fix it on my own.
