I switched from iPhone 4 to Galaxy. Still with AT&T. Problem is some of my text messages don't come to the new phone, only the disabled iPhone. I get them when it is on wifi.

I went to an AT&T repair store and they deleted my cloud account and turned off i-messaging. Still has the same problem.

    Any ideas?

it's impossible for your iphone to get TXT messages on wifi since SMS functions on a carrier level/network.

What is happening is this. People are sending you iMessages... regardless if they turned it off they must still be able to get through.

Tell the people on the other end using their eyephones to send you TXT messages to your cell phone number. It's not your fault or AT&T's fault that this is happening.

It took a few weeks before my switching between iphone and android for them to stop trying to come through as iMessages. Either that, people quit texting me altogether. Which is fine, too.

Looks like you are right. Getting messages at last so things seem to have resolved themselves.

Now if I could just get my friends to stop whining to me about not being able to imessage me and having to use txt message... like really what is the hassle about that

The group messages in android are a mess. I do wish they could fix that.

Whats wrong with it. I think it works pretty well.
Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. A normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop heart. Make the bastard chase you. He will follow.

Pictures never come through on a group message. Then it separates each conversation.
