Well it would appear one of you has some tact. Kinda obvious which one too.

Oh and did the driver get off the gas b4 he crossed the line or did he miss a gear?

maybe it's because we can't have a Honda/Acura thread with you going hondadubber on us...seriously, look at your signature. Your bias is pretty clear (this is coming from another Honda guy too). Ever heard the phrase "consider the source"?

ANYTHING can go 8sec in the quarter with enough work, but the difference between Chris' civic and this Lambo is that this one is still a car you can use as a car. The civic, not so much.

TLDR, nobody cares what a purpose built drag car runs.

UGR trapped 179 like a year ago. I don't even know why Heffner is trying.

I'd like to see a strictly drag built Lambo or GTR. "Oh, but those cars aren't meant for that." Neither are Hondas. "Who buys a Lambo just to gut it and drag it?" I dunno, someone who's into drag racing and would want to do it for ****s and giggles?

Honestly, I wanna see if someone can take a street car, turn it into a drag only car, and hit 5s.

Because these cars are built for 1-mile speed events. These people want to trap 230+ MPH, not run 8's. UGR doesn't care about 1/4 mile times, they could easily make 8 second passes with their cars. They've already proven that by trapping 177 on a street tire. This Heffner car is irrelevant.

It isn't quite that simple. Just because a car runs high speeds in the quarter mile doesn't mean it can automatically rip off low ETs to match them.

As an example Eddie Bellow's 911 traps at 166mph but he is having trouble breaking into the 8s because of traction issues out of the hole and issues with the car popping wheelies in 1st and 2nd gear.

Considering that the Gallardo is AWD, and the 177 trap was done on STREET TIRES (That was a 9.0 pass, by the way) - I don't think traction is an issue. UGR is a set of drag radials away from an 8 second slip if they want one.

It's amazing how you can so clearly talk about what UGR cares about and what they build their cars for and what their owners want to do with THEIR cars.

I also find it amusing how easily you are dismissing the Heffner car and say it's irrelevant.

I'm sorry but you're flat out an idiot.

still the power has been there for a long time to do this. Just goes to show it takes more than hp that to go that quick

considering there are at least 3 examples now of cars that just made it into the 6s during drag week (i think 6.94 was the quickest average - and they had to drive from track to track) i would say 5s are a long loooooong way off. Maybe impossible at this point

You again? For Gods sake just shut up. Once again, Heffner may have been beaten, but they didn't fail. You are the WORST kind of ******* to plague any kind of automotive scene. No talent, loud mouthed non-contributor.

Why don't you post some of your "accomplishments" so we can compare them to the best in the world. Until then, do us all a favor and stay away from computers.

What is the point of nut swinging from companies, both are capable of the same results and amazing cars. It all depends on what the customer wants.

lol, i'm glad you took the time to reply to me in both threads. at least you have C4 A6 on your team.

heffner was out of his mind posting up some "world record" video. that was dumb. does he have talent at building quick cars? sure. is he good at beating the best in the game? no. that was dumb and in the community of people who follow those cars, it looked dumb to everyone. end of the story. he should've just posted up some video of his time, not act like he was doing some ground breaking performance.

This thing might not beat it on a quarter mile but in a mile drag even the underground racing gallardo is gonna have some trouble keeping up (seriously who sees an SV and says "you know what, that car is slow, strap two turbos on it and maybe well talk). cant wait to actually see this thing in action.

That SV is cool but removing the AWD while removing weight is kind of a buzz kill for me. It's not really an SV any more. It's much harder to build a car with 1000+ HP with AWD intact than it is to do it with rear wheel drive. 2000HP is readily available from several sources. That's not to say it's not special or insane but it's no longer an amazing feat like it once was. You add AWD to the mix and things change. Very few high HP cars remain AWD beyond triple digits. I think that's rather sad. Especially things like Syclones, Typhoons, and such that are known as AWD monsters. A Gallardo isn't exactly a light car. Combine that with insane power and grip and you have a recipe for catastrophic failure that probably takes more money to fix and correct than the entire build for a 1000HP SBC.

LOL. That car is such a pile, and it's owner is a douchebag. If they ever do get it to run, it will never run right and/or blow up within 500 miles.
