Well, I just went to grab some lunch and on the way home I got on it a bit. I was met with sluggish acceleration and a flashing CEL. Before I could even turn the car off, the CEL went away. I was about 200 yards from my house so I coasted home. What could the issue be?

Classic symptom of a coil going bad.

its a misfire, like B6 Passat said. It could be caused by many things though. bad coil bad plug. get the car scanned w/ vagcom and see if it is a specific cylinder or all 4 to help narrow things down

First it was cylinder 4, replaced coil pack, now it's cylinder 2.

Is there a TSB on coil packs?

There was a recall a few years back, but if you've been to the dealer within the last 2 years it's likely all ready been done on your wagon.
