Does anyone know if the rear drive from a Passat syncro G60 (wish bone and axles) need to be narrowed for the wheels to fit within stock Mk1 wheel wells?

toy_vw , Thanks I measure the passat rear I have in my passat and it looks like the hub surface will be about 2" in from the wheel opening lip - a lot of work, but worth the results

All mk1 syncro swaps I have seen done just modify where the rear beam mounts to change it from the mk1 2 bolt mount to the syncro 3 bolt mount. Then from here just bolt up the full beam. Not sure if the passat was different from the ralley golf though. I'd say go for it and get wheels that work for the shell![]()
