    Headlight Socket Installation?

    So it looks like my headlight socket has burned out. (2000 jetta 2.0)

    I've never had to replace the socket, is there a DIY or just some quick instructions as to what I need to do to replace this socket? Not sure what I need to undo and where the wire goes to. Thanks

    cut old one off

    connect new one via solder or crimping butt connectors

    seal with electrical tape
    2008 Passat wagon, 2.0T 6MT with mods
