Thread: 1.8T - 600bhp Which Clutch

  1. 09-27-2012 03:30 AM #1
Asked soo many times, Ive had a look through and seens either:

    Spec Stage 3+
    CM FX850

Any advice now as posts are old and people may have had ones fail etc....

Its a 1.8T - 2.0L conversion and a GTX30R76, will be used as weekend toy and track car. (Im sure I will see a drag strip once a year) but wont suffer that sort of abuse.
I do have a broken pelvis so nothing too super heavey sould be great.

Any advice would be great, going for a Single mass fly too, so any advice on that also would be great. Im a UK guy.

    Cheers

    Sheldon

If its a 6 speed 02M get the CM fx850 and be done with it.
The Spec 3+ have a very nice stock feeling to it, but it will not last if you are really pushing that GTX turbo. Then you will have double work and need to buy 2 clutches instead of just buying one and be done.
Pedal feel on the FX 850 is good. I use mine as a daily and Im maxing out my 3582R with 1.06 T3 housing. Been holding up good for 2 years now.
