Hey, just bought a garrett turbo and the seller told me it is a 50 trim t3t4 garrett. I just want to know the a/r Inside the turbine housing has a stamp that says 48...i dont know if that means anything. On teh side of the exhaust manifold flange it says 29359...Is this a 50 trim .48a/r? or 84 a/r

Trim and a/r are different. Trim has to do with the wheel (inducer/exducer)^2. It's just a coincidence in this case that the compressor a/r and trim are both 0.50, if that's what is making you confused. You have a 0.48 a/r exhaust housing. You wouldn't be able to tell the trim on the turbo by looking at it unless you can look up the part number. Otherwise, you would need to remove the housing and measure the wheel

You have a Garrett compressor housing and a Turbonetics turbine housing, i would be curious about what the actual brand of the center section is....

Thanks for the help guys, i will open it up and check the center. Is there a reason why people put a turbonetics housing? Is there a benefit to it?

maybe the previous owner needed a new hotside or somthing. or its a turbonetics turbo with garrett compressor housing... what does the plate on the CHRA say? that will tell you what the internals are unless they were changed
