'82 GLI - Perfect Project Car

Hi, I have an '88 GLI for sale. It has the 9A motor and a newer trans that I had put in maybe 4,000 miles ago. Not sure how many miles are on the motor but up until two months ago has been running strong with no mechanical issues. Two months ago the timing belt snapped while I was pulling away from a stop light. I was probably doing 3 mph when it happened. I honestly do not think there is any internal damage and that the car would be back on the road with a new timing belt. The cams are out right now and I have a brand new set of cam followers (all 16) ready to be dropped in. I am moving to the West Coast in a few months so this is not really a time for me to have a project car. The paint is decent, especially for the year and the body is in good condition with only a handful of minor dings. The interior is in great shape, factory Recaros are very clean and still supportive, no sagging. The dash is cracked up pretty good but I have a crack-free replacement that will go with the car. I also have a center console meant for an A/V project that never quite left the ground. The sunroof seal started leaking a bit as I noticed the carpet was damp the other day. Wolfsburg steering wheel is mounted but still have stock. The wheels roll, that's the only good thing I can say about them since they do not fit the car's style at all (PO). Rubber is in good shape all around. Oh yeah, there's a brand new Cat and TT exhaust fitted. If you have any questions post them up here and I'll respond A.S.A.P. If you need more pics just ask. I really would like to have the car gone by Saturday afternoon. If not, I'll probably junk it because I just don't want it taking up space and it's blocking my garage to where I can't park my is300 inside. I'm just north of Clearwater, Florida.

whats the longest you can hold on to the car for im really interested and this is to good of a car to junk .

Yeah, it would be hard but I need to have it gone. I could hold on to it for another week or two but the sooner the better.
