I believe it was a Montero Sport the guy at Rausch Creek was driving. It was stock except for larger tires and it was leading the beginners group through green and blue trails.

I'm a huge fan of those trucks and know them well.
4th Gen 4Runner/GX are very solid. But, as stated earlier, the Montero provides more interior space and is quite a bit less expensive. Also, I am not seeing any of these 11k GX470s. Closest I saw was 11,995 but it had 175k on it.

KDSS can be lifted without issue. It's the X-REAS option on 4runners that poses a problem. I know they share the same 120 platform.

I owned a 4runner so I know a little bit about them as well.

I'm not sure what more I can say to convince you that the Montero competed in a different size class then the 120-platform Toyota's. {shrug} I guess it's irrelevant anyway so I'm not going to continue to argue about it.

Find a 6G74 montero and you can twin turbo it with 3000GT parts.

Amazing off-roasters. Drove a diesel one with a 5spd and low range, it climbed EVERYTHING.

I think the Isuzu Trooper / Acura SLX would make the Rodeo look invincible

I've driven a Middle Eastern Spec Pajero that was new in 2011, pretty decent truck, had an interesting center stack arrangement and a Mitsubishi logo hood ornament, always thought that was interesting.
