You'll get a few transmission based codes, but i will run and drive down the street without an issue.

donor car is 2001 gls 1.8t 5 speed manual

project is 2002 gls 1.8t tiptronic 5 speed

i have installed the whole 2001 motor, trans, clutch flywheel as one unit 105k
i have the ecu also installed from the 2001

i took the tcm out and removed the tcm harness out of the engine bay to the rain tray

i also installed the engine harness from the 2001 to the ecu but left the stock harness that runs the rest of the stuff

i am just unsure where i need to hook the white clutch switch to and the blue cruise control switch im assuming is not a priority

Dont you need the cluster to match the pcm?
    I would try that first.
If only I invested my money into something more practical then a VW....
