I know that there have to be some Vortex-ers around Durango! I'd love to get a GTG started.

saw a sweet mk2 rocco, grey with some german flag stripes just around the corner from my friend's house in durango. I waved at him in the 4k but someone should hit that guy up. great looking car! suprised weston isn't on here yet, being the most hardcore vdub head in town. lol

I've seen the grey one once, there is also a super nice green one cruising around. Never met the people though.

That MKII Rocco is right around the corner from my house too! I've never seen it driving though. It si a nice one. The green Rocco is pretty sweet too. I've seen a few MKIVs and a red Corrado rollin around.

I think Wes is out at a fire. I haven't been able to get a hold of him for a few days, and he's not home either. He's in though.

So that makes 5 of us....anyone else?

sorry my fellow western slopers.... allie was right. i was out on a fire with ZERO cell service. but im now in bosie, idaho for the night, and headed on my way home. i wont be home till friday afternoon. ill be avliable sunday for a gtg. ill bring the bug too.

i think a good meeting place would be at Durango joes their by south city market. dubs & coffee?

Just wanted to theow this out there, if u havnt seen it already theres a thred on it in the room, (westco4k) posted up, oct 13 next sat is the last track day out here, were tryin to gather all the wuros we can!! All day track day and hopfully a gtg that night, dinner and dubs?? Check it out n think about it, we have a few guys from out here that gona make it, as well as a couple from denver

Okay, so this Wednesday, October 10th at 6:15 p.m. will be our first GTG.

Let's meet at J.Bos on Florida Road at 6:15 p.m. for pizza, beer, VWs, etc.

I had a thought on the drive to work today, what if we had a "Meet on the Mountain" cruise where the durango dubbers met up with us western slope euro heads on the top of red mountain pass? I realize we are entering the wrong time of year for such a cruise but it's something to think about. Could be a perfect spring meet.

We were discussing something like this as well. What about meeting somewhere near Ouray, since it is almost in the middle? If we all agree fairly quickly we might get something together before it snows.

We are in for sure for either one. Whichever is easiest for everyone. I am scheduled to work until 3 both Saturdays so I just need some warning to try and get the whole day off if thats what is decided.

even though ouray is the half way point and a cool town no doubt, it leaves much to be desired from a driving aspect for us junctionites. leaving us with the adobe flatlands while you guys get 3 mountain passes just isn't fair!

Heck ya I'm soooo down. The bug needs a little twisties before winter hits. I'm gonna try and get my new gas tank fabbed up this week so ill be ready! I FINALLY got a really good tune on my bug. So I'm wanting to do a drive to make sure that my bug really is good. Lol.

I am soooooo bummed!! Eff man why do i have to work onthe weekends u guys plan things.. Lol we should plan for the weekend of the 3/4 haha that way we could get me, and possebly an r32, and rich to come too

just throwing it out here.. Would be nice to accually be able to make a meet with u guys befor winter.. Plus u raised my b3 up and maxed the timing so i wana rip some mountian terrain

November 3-4 would maybe work better for Ouray. That's probably the latest that we should all be heading into the mountains though. We can only stay overnight if we can find a place that takes pets.

This weekend (27/28) is my birthday weekend, so we were thinking of maybe a big BBQ at our place or something fun. I want to get the Cabby out for sure! Anybody down for 30th birthday festivites on Sunday?

Next weekend will work for us as well. I have to show some property in Pagosa, but I should be done by 1-2ish. We could head up to Ouray after that, or if everyone prefers a Sunday only gtg that is fine as well.

Allie we will be there. Just let me know when, where, and what to bring.
