MKVII Xenon Headlights

Do the inner lights (flash to pass?) in the headlight housing have illuminated light bars along with the xenon projectors? Most pics dont show the inner light bars lit but the pic VW used for the MVII Golf unveiling shows two sets of light bars per headlight housing.

Interesting - I've seen only the outer LED bars lit up on the Golf, but it seems like most GTI pics and renders show 4 bars lit. See below:
