I just spotted a 2008 Audi A4 S-line manual and have been tossing around the idea of replacing my family truckster (03' VW passat wagon GLX manual). Is the S-line pkg strictly a appearence pkg?
Is there anything to keep an out for on a B7 3.2 powertrain or suspension wise?

s-line is just an appearance thing, suspension will be the same on 2.0 or 3.2... with a tune the 2.0 will be just as quck if not qicker than the 3.2

Not really concerned with the "quickness", more concerned about the reliablilty.

...but the pic (well, judging only by the wheels) looks like the full S-line package.
In 2008, all A4s had the S-line "appeance" package (e.g., interior/exterior badges, trunk lip, front fascia, etc.). But you could also add the "full" S-line package (continued from 2005.5) which included the 18" wheels and sport suspension...

That's where all if u guys are WRONG:
3.2l V6 manual tranny.........the only one of its kind(no other Audi has it ....NONE)
Rear diff: SAME THING ......for fluids no one stocks it,its a special order 33 euro per litter (u need 5 litters total) some of the b6 and B7 interior does not fit because Sline ,it's like an s or a RS it's just a V6 instead of V8. That's Sline for the 3.2.....and ufcorse leather, premium boss, nice trim, monster mats and so and so........

Unless you buy an A5 of course
On topic. I have a 3.2 manual. Great car, but carbon build ups like a bastard. I came from a apr mkv GTI. The 3.2 is every bit as quick and miles smoother.
My ac compressor grenaded at only 120,000km and Audi told me to take a dump in my hat 3 months out of warranty. Parts are VERY expensive too
