Also keep in mind that many numbers displayed by manufacturers are at the crank. Many manufacturers utilize crank HP numbers to inflate their products values. The Mustang Dyno was designed to create as close as possible to real driving conditions on the road. So most times the numbers will be lower, but they are real.

Right, but they also claim to add in drivetrain loss.

Adding drivetrain loss in a sense that they are adding 10% to the whp number to get bhp.

Advertised numbers look pretty close to me. In my case, 280hp (Uni Stg2) * 0.85 = 238whp. I put down 235whp with stock intake.

Aren't APR numbers at the crank? 10-15% loss thru the drive train is normal

      Thanks for posting the graphs

I like APR curve better. It's quite interesting how your car makes more torque sooner, seems like my turbo spool slower

I would of liked to have seen a car with a United Motorsport tune up in there!

    11. 10-07-2012 06:03 AM #36
I ran my .:R32 on a awd mustang dyno and pulled 201 hp in hot Dallas. I have apr tune and cai and
      Exhaust...

Bmwgtiman is a local R (2.0t) owner and he didn't dyno with me but we did several highway pulls and neither pulled...we were right next to each other in gear for about 20 mph of acceleration

So I guess it's possible all my mods could put me up to stock R numbers...seeing as a highway pull was same

Or if you have a mkv, the dsg allowed you to keep up.. there's not that much to be gained with the r32 and simple mods

      2010 Mk6 GTI - EvoMS intake + EvoMS stg1 software = 251 whp, 273 wtq on a Mustang Dyno.
Recently installed B&B 3" catted dp and went EvoMS stg2, expecting to make about 290ish whp and about 320 wtq once I get around to dyno'ing again (too damn hot right now)

2010 DBM MK6 GTI: A bunch of go-fast goodies, and a bunch of stop-fast goodies.

Not sure if dp plus stage 2 will give you 40whp over stage 1....
