I knew all about the older Bitter models but I had no idea that Erich Bitter was still in the business until that drove past me at Wörthersee.

Would you consider a trim level unicorn? For example.....couple days ago I saw a 2008 Accord sedan with leather and a 5speed manual in green sitting on a dealer lot. Honda doesn't offer leather and a manual since 08 in the accord sedan and green is a rare color. I'm guessing a couple hundred of those exist...but close to a million accords in that body style exist. So it's def. a unicorn as far as accords go, but accords themselves are far from unicorns.

It looks like it sits a little high(for some reason cars with a bunch of dish on the wheels and more gap on top than the sides look weird to me), but definitely a cool unicorn. It looks a lot better than the standard 6-series, particularly from behind. Are their any suspension/drivetrain changes that came with the coachwork? Is the interior significantly different than the standard 6-er?

One of my coworkers owns something of a unicorn, a white Corrado G60, but I don't think it's ENOUGH of a unicorn to qualify for this thread. My grandfather owns a pair of Studebakers, but I've whored those out enough on these boards... I'm trying to think if any of my other friends has a real unicorn, but aside from a couple of vintage trucks that I don't have pictures of on my computer I can't think of any. A friend of my grandfather's has a very nice, custom bodied American LaFrance RV based off an 50s firetruck, but I don't have any pics of it... If I find pics online though I may repost them.

I saw a Tesla Model S last night driving around campus. It was eerily silent, and seriously good looking.

Don't know about the suspension and drivetrain, but the body panels are a mix of aluminum and carbon fiber. So at the very lest, it's quicker and handles better then the BMW is based on....considering it should be significantly lighter.

Maybe Larry or Barry can correct me on this, because I'm sure I'm not 100% accurate, but my quick research tells me that this is a 1950 Buick Super Model 56C...12,259 produced but surely much less than that survive, even fewer in this condition (spotted outside St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton last year):

Studebaker Hawk...not sure what year, or if it's a Silver Hawk, Golden Hawk, or just a Hawk, or what the production numbers were, but, like the Buick, there can't be many left in this condition (spotted outside my doctors office last year):

They have the Internet on computers now?

That Studebaker is either a Silver Hawk or a Golden Hawk. The Flight Hawk and Power Hawk had the fin-less rear fenders of the older Commander. I'm going to err on the side of it being a Silver Hawk because other than one all-Gold Golden Hawk I've never seen a Golden Hawk with the fins body colored.

I never knew this car existed or that fisker existed before the karma but it seems to based off a 6-series.

Apparently 3349 were built, 1788 sold in the US, according to Excellence magazine. But, I think that's the first one I've ever seen on the street and I hardly ever see these for sale.

saw this Honda S600 on the freeway a few months back. sorry for the failed attempt at taking a cell phone pic.

I saw a 190sl a few days ago. Not really a unicorn, but a nice car nonetheless.

Also saw a really nice one of these at auto-x last week, man was that cool:

You must be even younger than me to not know the 959, or you just weren't into cars in the 80s. The 959 was the daddy, the car that redefined hi-po Porsches, particularly the AWD models and the turbo models that followed.

I've never seen a 959 road car, but I did see the Dakar car at Lime Rock recently.
