Although I wasn't quick enough to snap a photo, I saw a seal grey Carrera GT in traffic at lunch today. 1270 produced (and a fair amount that have been wadded up since) makes for a pretty rare sighting. I've seen one in this color several times before and would have recognized the owner if I'd gotten close enough but didn't, so it may be the same one, or another.

To answer your question MRVW00, I am about 90% certain that is a Toyota Sports 800.

They made something like 3,000 of them, and few enough survive that they make the Honda S500 and S600 look almost common.

I'm pretty sure I saw one at a show, but that would be a true Unicorn on the street.

Yup, Toyota had one at the Japanese classic car show a few weeks back.

    The car's tiny.

    They're extremely tiny cars.

Saw this today driving home from work. I wish they were cheap and easy to get like a Z3.

It's got a little 800cc opposed twin, it's light, and looks like a 2000GT pedal car. I agree, they are awesome!

I saw an actual, legit Trabant in Chicago last night. It was white, and in perfect (for a Trabant ) condition, "DDR" country oval sticker on the back and all. I was on a mission to find a certain restaurant, and intended to stop and get pics on the way back, but when I returned it was gone.

I wonder if the Trabby was still a 2-stroke?

Awesome. I've seen a few of those but mostly at Road America. I did see one recently at a car show in Door County. It was a mkII (1 of 536) with a 289 and a hardtop. I wonder how rare the hardtop was!

Rules be damned! I saw a alfa 8c here in the snowy state of Minnesota at a Cars and Coffee as well as a Gallardo superleggera in gray (only 225 of those in that color in the world). I know the lambo is questionable in unicorn status, but here in the tundra I take what I can get. I'll post pics when I get home.

I'll need to take a picture next time I see it, but my dad reminded me that someone near him has a BEAT Sonnet II 2-stroke as a sort of 3-seasons car.

I go to car shows all the time and even work by an exotic car dealership; I still haven't seen a Carrera GT in years.
