I have this idea in my head that this would be killer to do...swap the motor and tranny from my 337 into a mk1 rabbit, then swap in a TDI motor and tranny into my 337.

reason is im looking for a rabbit to build a race car with and im back and fourth on what engine/tranny setup I want to go with and if I want n/a or turbo. also my 337 is my commuter so it would serve that job more efficiantly with a tdi motor my 1.8t motor already has forged rods and the tranny already has LSD. plus I have water/meth, intercooler, and a gt28r w/ tubular mani. so it would either be a great setup for a rabbit or a bad setup...im just afraid it might be too much power and almost undrivable on a race track.

any suggestions or advice as to the complications involved with this would be much appreciated. not entirely sure whats all involved with the tdi swap. the 1.8t swap I can probably handle as Ive done swaps before.

    Its all dueable
I'd leave the engines in their cars though... Why not keep the racecar 337 sure its heavier but its a heck of a lot safer. And no gonna lie it will probably cost u about the same in swap parts and misc thing as buying a third car. I'd get a tdi 5th gear for the 1.8( tranny with the lsd
