    Hello all,

I've been poking around here for a while and took some photos with my Galaxy S3 to show off my new wheels and tint.

I purchased the wheels and tires from Desert TTRS. He gave me a great deal and helped me install them as well! This isn't the type of finish I was looking for initially but it really came together after getting the tint installed.

Wheel specs: Forgestar F14 19x9 ET47, gloss black with red "Time Attack" ring, rears have 5 mm spacers and extended lug bots.

Tire specs: Pirelli PZero Trofeos 245/35-19

Tint: 50% windshield, 20% all around

The larger wheel/tire combo is lighter than stock. The ride is definitely smoother without the run-flat tires. Acceleration and braking has improved as well.

Looks good.....I have a couple questions:

    1. You have H&R springs? Seems to sit lower than mine and I had them too? I have Neuspeed front and rear sway bars too. Handles great....plus I have mag ride....I know those things don't affect ride height but was curious-maybe it's just an illusion with the stock wheel that I have more wheel gap?

    2. Any rubbing? Did you do any trimming to the wheel lips? You went down 10mm in tire size which I'm sure helps a little but it looks close to those fenders????

I love the look of flush wheels but can't have ANY rubbing-dangerous at speed? And I'm too old for that crap!

I like the flush look myself but I didn't want to make permanent modifications to a lease. Also, this is my daily driver and I want keep ride comfort close to stock.

I am on the H&R sport springs and perhaps it's the shadows making the height appear lower. I was considering going ST coilovers because the ride became very bumpy. It has become more comfortable without the run-flats, which is important since I drive 22 miles each way to work. I only have an aftermarket rear sway, Neuspeed race RSB on the soft setting.

I was getting a little rubbing when going over large bumps on the highway. I went to a 3 mm spacers in the rear. I'll update on my drive home today since there's only 1 section on the road it would rub. Rather than dodging this bump, I'd rather avoid rubbing altogether.

These tires are going to wear extremely quick with only a 40 treadwear rating. I do want to step up to a 255 width tire but stay with a type that doesn't have a huge sidewall.

This setup is definitely conservative as far as flush is concerned.

I have the Neuspeed bars too but put it on firm.....clean looking car. I have all my stock parts too in case I need to put them back in....

40? That's some tread ware! Did you get a alignment done after the install to factory specs? I can tell you from experience (on my third set of Toyo's) that they can wear fast if not set to factory specs. I had it aligned twice after installing the springs but they set it up too aggressive-local shop. I took it to Audi for the last alignment after putting the third set of Toyo's on the rear.

Btw, yours came with run flats? Mine didn't and no spare...just a pump and a bottle of goo!

Actually, the tires have a treadwear rating of 60. I hope to get at least a year out of them. I had an alignment done a week after the springs were installed at the dealership. The mechanic took out as much camber as he could. I believe he set the toe to factory specs. There is hardly any wear on my factory Pirelli RE-50A. I'm almost positive mine came with run flats. I didn't find a bottle of goo in my trunk or a pump

The Toyo's are 240 treadwear and I got 8,000 and 10,000 out of them....it's the toe that kills em....if the camber is too much and wearing on the inside, bump up the tire pressure a bit....will help a little.

I actually called the dealer back and said "something is missing from my car, I got no jack or spare." THey said that is normal. I now have a couple of spare tires in the garage in case one has to be replaced and they can't get one shipped soon enough.

My question is....are you doing mostly spirited driving to wear your tires so quickly? I may do a couple hard turns a week while getting onto the highway. I rarely floor it or brake hard. Also, my car is driven mostly on the highway. I'd say about 85/15 highway to street ratio.

I can usually get 370-390 miles on a full tank of gas on crappy 91 octane. I do remember taking turns a lot faster when my rear sway bar was set to hard.

    Ernest,
Which dealership did you get your alignment done at? Did they say anything about it being lowered? .. I'm about to get H&R Springs installed on mines this week and was planning to either get alignment done at Irish Mike or PRS shop here in Orlando area. But maybe I can ask the tech at CLassic Audi and see.

Btw, mines came with Run-Flats and I had nada in the trunk. no jack, goo, or pum =O. I'm no longer on run-flats though, what a huge difference!

Btw, it's Todd....I got it done at Audi Jacksonville. No, there were no questions asked. They are a Stasis dealer so they actually lower cars themselves. Any shop that uses the factory specs to align it to could do it. They did give me a nice color printed report of before and after on mine.

Did you under tray area in the rear have the foam cut outs for the pump, jack, spare, goo, etc under there? Mine did which made me think those things were left out or borrowed at the dealer....but they weren't. And mine didn't come with run flats.

As for Classic. I don't usually let me car out of my sight. My first visit with them was great....they even got me a chair to sit in while they worked on the car inside the shop.....the last time I was there, I was standing way out of the way just observing what the mechanic was doing and the shop manager came over and was a real jerk. He made me go stand out in the hot sun and watch from outside the shop. I spoke to the general manager who said he over reacted but it cost them a customer that always uses the dealer for his service work. Too bad...they are closer to me...I will try them again when they move to Sanford.....but that service manager is *******!

Todd i meant! Oooops its been awhile lol ... but man that sucks that you had a bad exp with the service manager. i havent had a bad exp yet with service dept. their used car managers are douche's though lol. usually when I take the car there, I request to either have Mike (Shop Foreman) or Corey work on the car only. Carson in the Parts Dept is cool guy as well and can get you discounted parts if you need.

In my trunk, there were cut outs for those items but I didn't have anything. I was like this when I first got the car but seems like its normal thing?

Don't mind her dirtiness....there's a lot of rain pouring in Vegas right now

    Front wheel - side shot

    Front wheel - overhead

    Rear wheel - side shot

    Rear wheel - overhead

    Rear quarter shot

    Current setup:

    19x9 +47 offset wrapped in 245/35-19 tires

Fronts have 5 mm spacers (no rubbing at all)
Rears have 3 mm spacers (no rubbing, rubbed over hard bumps with 5 mm on fender tab)

Would it be worth the trouble to try to go more aggressive and risk rubbing and modifying the fenders? I can see why stance/flush fitment make people push their cars to the limit. It makes you ponder what will look better and risk/cost factor....
