I turned a corner, was in 2nd gear, didn't downshift to 1st (like an idiot) and car stalled, bounced a few times. (usually the stalling procedure)

A little rubber lid of some sort fell off, 4-5 inches in length, 3-4 in width. Hollow in middle so as to slide onto something (had a little black fluid inside, not much just enough to get my hands dirty).

After stalling, I tried to start the car. I would turn the key to ignite and all I hear is ONE clicking sound. Then nothing. Not the battery, it's new. Not the alternator, jump start won't work.

Anybody have an idea what could be wrong?

can you bumpstart it? sounds like a starter motor issue to me.. but if stuff falls off you car then check all of the power and earth cables and connections in the starting&charging circuits.

    it'll be something simple.

That looks like the front engine mount bushing. Check and see if your starter bolts are installed. Check to see if your connections to the starter are connected/ secured.
