Using 3600 lbs and 117mph trap speed, I would estimate my HP in the 450-460 range.

Would love to see what Max R is capable of, seeing it's lighter and has more power.

Stage 4 was basically a built proof motor setup. Power was probably similar to yours back then, but a bit more with the high flow head.

He's now much higher. Heard he may go back to the strip soon.

When will you guys be making the head available to the public?

Will you require bottom end work with the head?

How's that Golf R stock block holding up in the in-house audi A4?

Will the head be going on the in-house Stage 3 Golf R? I ask because I'm wondering about a tune specific for that upgrade.

my 42DD looks pretty well made, its not all t304 but if you get it coated I don't think it really matters.

Also the cat section is seperate, so if you wanted to run a 2 step and not fry your cat you could put a test pipe in for the track with 6 bolts, not too shabby

Just wish it were T304, the decission would be real easy then. Your points are very valid and very weightable, but I am not sure. I really do like the no fry cat option it offers.

You guys couldnt let Scott be the fastest US R for long. I'm only guessing its the max R. Otherwise I don't think a manual will go that fast.

    There's usually always someone faster...LOL....

I don't think it's Max R though.....I could be wrong..... Just think it's gonna take a 600hp golf R with either a new gearset or DSG to cut a 10 sec 1/4 mile.... I guess Arin will be letting us know pretty soon.

LOL.... I figured. You guys didn't build Max to be the fastest in a straight line... It's an ALL AROUND performance machine..... I'm sure it's still very quick in the 1/4 mile though, considering it's not a purpose built drag car.

I'm waiting for Chris Green to get his hands on a Golf R or a customer's Golf R, who has some deep pockets....... No doubt he could put one in the 10's. (Chris Green at USP in South Florida)

Pretty sure TEFF could hit 10's.... pretty easily considering the power hes putting forth with DSG remap and stronger clutches...

APR Australia's Street Legal Golf R just made several 10 second quarter mile passes at Willowbrank Raceway, an Australian National Drag Racing Association Ltd certified track.

This vehicle is street legal in Australia and spends most of its time either daily driving or dominating on the circuit as seen in Motor Magazine. This is not a purpose built drag car.

The vehicle is equipped with the following power modifications:

APR Stage 4 Turbocharger System with GTX Turbocharger
    APR ECU Upgrade
    APR Built Motor
    APR High Flow Head
    APR High Pressure Fuel Pump
    APR Intercooler System
    APR RSC Turboback Exhaust System
APR Low Pressure Fuel Pump System
    APR Carbonio Intake System
    STOCK GOLF R INJECTORS

It's running on 18" VWR Wheels and MT Drag Radials and Sunoco GT+ 104 unleaded fuel.

The vehicle is at full weight minus the rear seat.

Do we have a new world record on our hands?

awesome runs! i would expect a better 60' time though with DSG and drag radials.

i had 1.7 and 1.8 60' times with stock wheels and dunlop all season tires.
    UM ftw
