The most idiotic behavior I witnessed the whole weekend was of some clown in a MK III? turning his car around on route 50, and driving down the highway in reverse past the show. I wish I would have thought to snap a pick, but I was too nonplused at the moment. Especially because it seemed this winner's GF, or wife was in the passenger seat.

I wonder what it must be like to crave attention that badly. It would be a whole lot safer if people like that would just run around shouting "look at me, look at me".

All the Dci guys i met were perfectly nice to me and offered me beer, Except ricky is a god damn ******* and ill never tattoo him again, well maybe if he gives me a solid Beej ill let him back into my life....

as for idiots. myself. i would say that awesome guido doing a burnout in his supra, but truthfully that ruled and was so pumped i got to see him escorted out. Everyone one at seacrets, esp the most wasted girl ive seen in a while dancing with like 6 dudes, with her skirt above her waist and vag flapping in the cologne tainted air..

overall all it was a fun first h20

I guess he took her to a few bars and kept feeding her shots. Obviously the plan back fired lol.

Are there no pics of the Honda guy beating his fender at the show? Wtf.

This was my first year going down. Saw a lot of cool ideas for the first time. Even if it's the second time it's been done, still awesome. Got a picture of the mk2 with it? I'd love to see it.

Smithers once answered questions about this.
He replied to the question by saying its inaccessible from the cabin therefore its not an open container.

actually IIRC he said that as long as the lines to the KEG aren't hooked up to the tap it's fine.

That is correct. He disconnects the keg from the tavern head and then locks the tap handle down so that it doesn't move. Once the tavern head is removed from the keg it is no longer an open container. He have a VW New Beetle at work that is the shock top promotion car and it has a draught system on it as well, same principles...

Yeah. Basically what Josh said. The worst they can get me on is DUI (if I was ever dumb enough to drive it while intoxicated, and NO ONE is that stupid to do so with such a huge target on thy ass) and tax evasion. I was a little nervous this year as the kegs were purchased in DE at Lighthouse Liquors which means I was taking ~15.5 gallons of beer across state lines without paying tax on it. Some states don't have a problem with this, some do. Due to MD's website being such a quagmire I am unable to locate the statute detailing what quantities can be brought into the state without paying tax on them or where I'd have to pay an additional tax. In practice I don't think the OCPD would be questioning whether or not I paid MD tax on the kegs, more so the fact that said keg is sitting in my trunk just inches away from a chrome beer tower and 5# co2 tank. In reality most cops think it's pretty cool. The officer that was walking around at Roses was really cool to us. He politely reminded my crew that open containers were an arrestable offense in OC and he recommended we dump out our solo cups. We gladly complied. The three state troopers outside the show were pointing and laughing at it as well. In most instances cops tend to point and laugh at my trunk because cops are generally 'dudes' too and what man doesn't think a beer dispensing VW is funny, if not silly. You can read more about the 'build here.'

That statement belongs in this thread. I normally abstain from correcting strangers but the concept of 'a little lead won't hurt' is not only inaccurate but dangerous. Lead in even the most minute concentrations (+15 parts per billion) can cause many long term problems as lead never leaves the brain. These problems are irreversible. Furthermore it is negligent to serve others LEAD TAINTED ALCOHOL. Removing surface lead from brass fittings is a simple process and there is NO EXCUSE to not do so.
