Thread: Past/current cars... Corrado

Hybrid View

hey guys i used to be on here all the time for my 1.8t jetta (SOLD ) then bought an e46 M3 (current) and picked up an e36 for a "winter beater" which my brother totaled and i replaced with another e36.... then got the corrado.... i always loved the corrado when i was a VW owner... not i finnaly got one, in good condition! the car came with some mods: HID balasts and bulbs, air filter, and suspension (never heard of the name of them and the tt wheels are rubbing in the rear :/ will be replaced). since i got it i did tt rims, and just got a full 2.5 exhaust which will go on this week... i still have to replace the suspension and roll the fenders but also am looking to do: front control arms with polly mounts and new ball joints, rear sway bar, strut tower bar, chip, GLI/TT brake upgrade, and after much research maybe a VR-T... anyway, i just wanted to say its nice to be back and look forward to advice and the DIYs this great forum has to offer! Pics of past and present

Wow, all kinda good stuff. Nice looking Corrado as well. On another note, does anybody know if the dealer installed the SLC badges on these cars, Ive seen them placed in various locations

You should polish that intake manifold, you're like 40% done already
Seriously though, sweet corrado. and your beamers are nice too.

  11. 12-19-2012 11:45 PM #11
    updated pics

remove oil pan to undo control arm bolt :/

    new ball joints

    new sway bar endlinks

oil pan back on and re filled

transmission fluid swap while i was at it..

    suspension back in

I had to do the whole driver side with the wheel still on... the tire store used and impact gun on the lock bold and snapped 4 keys trying to get it out and working on a reverse thread socket too..

carpet and seats going back in

next is gli front brakes and brake fluid change, and then a bluetooth/ipod/sat radio... anyone have any suggestions in a nice stereo with a similar green lighting?

Looks to be a very clean example. Personally i tihnk something looks very odd about the exhaust tip.. but other than that congrats on finding a clean C. Looks like your doing work too.
