No pictures yet because I bought a Glow**** gauge , and it was defective. Sent it back and just wanted a refund but got a replacement instead .

I used a defi racer whirt in an aftermarket pod at first but have since remounted it in the cup that came with it. this photo is of the aftermarket mount, but visually it looks similar, just slightly lower to the dash.
I am not a fan of vent or collumn pods and the cup that comes with the defi racer white is not large or obtrusive at all.

    You won't be disappointed.

    Mack
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
And, if something else breaks in the process, it must have needed fixen anyway.

I was hoping I would like this pod but I don't. It rubs on the steering wheel - something I read but still bought it.
    http://www.newsouthperformance.com/passatpod.htm:

I picked up the Glowshift gauge. I am not a fan of it. It flashes, if I dim my lights. I can fix that, but I was hoping the gauge would dim with the cluster.
    http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/black...uum-gauge.aspx (Promo Code 10%: Fall12):

I used the APR boost tap. I was pleased with this purchase.
    http://www.goapr.com/products/boost_tap_20t.html

I used fuse 21 for my ignition switched source, and fuse 29 for the constant source. I ground to the bolt at the bottom of the fuse box. I spliced the headlight switched source into the solid grey wire, on the dimmer switch harness.

I have seen 8 lbs. of boost. I am going stage one, Wednesday. I will be stage two, before Decemember.

I already have this gauge and the APR boost tap. It fits perfectly in the ashtray and I can close the door when I don't want to see it. I bought a quarter inch thick piece of black ABS plastic to use as a trim ring.
I just have to get to work on it.... i'm a 40 year-old military retiree, stay at home dad with two boys and 2 night school classes...give me a break.

I know at one point there was talk of a vent mounted analog boost gauge?? Did this ever come about? I have not been able to find one.

My question is , Why doesn't VW just include one in the gauge cluster.

I want the vent mount so badly. I ordered the MK6 vent mount and am going to see if I can make it work.

Ive ran a new south column mount pod and it was junk. Think creaked and rattled to no end.

Im now using a podi gauge and podi and it is absolutely amazing nice fit, clean look, and flawless operation
