Oh thanks I must of been lostatleast when it was in the mkv forum it was a bunch of guys busting on a little rich kid that meant nothing. It hits the car lounge and its a pissing contest between who's right and wrong. You all are a bunch of immature kids to argue over somthing on the interwebz.

Rich kid, eh whatever.
If I was him and I had a dad who would spend upwards of $40k on my car, I wouldn't have bought a GTI and ruined it with bags, stickers, subwoofers, and glitzy wheels. Why not just get an M3, M5, S4, S6, A8, 745i, E55, etc rather than a hot hatch with cloth seats? Yes this car is bought not built, but then again modding cars to this extent, regardless of doing the work yourself is still a decision on how much money you want to dump into a car knowing you won't get nearly as much of it back.
When I was 16 my dad bought me a $5000 Grand Cherokee. Perfect first car (gas was much less expensive). This was generous of him, but it did really help me out. I was thankful that I had a reliable mode of transportation to get to my job, school, and go mountain biking. Then again, in the eyes of some I was a spoiled rich kid. Its all relative.

My dad bought me an E30, an '87 325is for $5000. Some kids called it a POS, some said I was spoiled.
I was very grateful and thought it was a wonderful gift. Back then, I didn't know how cool it really was. Sold to a friend for about $5000 2 years later. He loved it too, and now we both wax poetic about that car.
True story, no Barney Stinson either.
Looked like this exactly.
