I have to find some more durable, stronger, better timing belt for ABF (Golf mk3 2.0 16V 150hp).

as I have torque at least five times more than stock, I have to change stock timing belt few times at year and I would like to buy something more durable.

      any advices are welcome

your engines total power has nothing to do with the stress on the timing belt..

upgraded valve springs, and big cams on the other hand, DO have an affect on the belt..

why on earth do you change it multiple times a year?!

so, you are telling me that you have somewheres near 1000 ft lbs of torque coming from your 2.0 16v tall block?!

      pics or it never happened..

      Glegor ,

Here in Brazil we have set´s of Drag engines running with 800- 1000hp / 70-80kgfm of torque.

Is not a modded V-8 or a big block turbo engine , on torque factor , but it´s a high level of torque on a 4 cyl !

until this year, I had run for few years K27/K26 hybrid (compressor, hot side) at 2.0 16V tall block, around 34 psi + 170hp nitrous shoot, with 50% toluene on drag.
I had to change timing belt two time at year (Continental Contitech)

now I have S300SX FMW twinscroll turbo running at 42psi + 220hp nitrous shoot. I didn't test it at dyno, but it surely have 750hp or more.

that is why I look for better timing belt.

PowerDubs - is belt under 15CB23 part number one I need (KENT CAMS competition belts)? is it same as stock ABF belt, when you look at dimensions and number of tooth? but better/more durable/etc.
