Can someone please take a look at my fuel door and let me know if a spring or something is missing? I purchased my 02 GLS back in March and the fuel door isn't spring-loaded... after some driving it seems to open a bit. Thanks!

it's not a spring per se but yes, yours is missing. You see the very bottom of the wire piece where the paint is scratched away? It goes around that. Kind of hard to explain. I'll take a pic of mine later & show you. Don;t have time right this minute

BTW, you can return the favor by taking a pic of your middle bench seat base (see my thread asking about interior).

I can take a pic for you, but... you are correct that the 02 and 03 had the front facing middle row seats with backs that fold forward with shallow cup holders in them. I will see if I can get a pic for you in a bit.

Oh, but you have the MV. I have a GLS. I believe your middle row seats face the back, correct? Not sure if they have the same backs as the GLS. The GLS mid row seats face forward, have grab handles on the back, and have the shallow cup holders.

Yes I have an MV but I need to know about the GLS because I have a rear carpet for one. I thought it fit all GL/GLS models but apparently not the last 2 years.

You can see the metal clip that yours in missing. The RIGHT side of it seems to have a slot in it & slides up from the bottom of the bracket attached to the van. The left side simply pushes in behind that wire. When the left side is in place it can;t slide down out of the notch

it'd have to be a spring steel clip. Just regular steel would not bend back to the curved shape once it was bent the other way when the door was opened. It would lose its tension I would think. I'd call a few junkyards. Maybe even see if the dealer sells them. Can't be more than a few bucks even from them

Does the clip wrap all the way around the metal bar or just 'cup' the bar to stay in place?

Thanks for your help with this!!!
