Thread: Anyone seen these guys before?

  1. 10-01-2012 09:07 PM #1
First off sorry for the crappy quality i couldn't figure out how to get high resolution . Anyways 2 guys no more than 21 were scoping out my house asking for someone that dosent live here, and this is the second time i guess they have done it (i wasn't home for both) in like 6 months. Well me being a former dubber i thought I would stop by and pay a visit and say hi and maybe get some help from you guys. Dont know if they keep stopping by for no good or maybe they really are looking for me who knows, but i would like to know.
2 younger guys, look to be hispanic. 1 of the 2 was wearing a VW sweatshirt. The car was MK3 jetta white w/black trim, w/black hood and golf headlights and tinted tails. Looks like it might have BBS wheels. Looks like this person is obviously a dubber so i thought someone around here has to know them. Any info would be great! Thanks guys

where's that thread about some guy having some wheels stolen off his GTI and they showed up a few days later on some Honda? I think that was in Federal Way. that was semi recent IIRC

I was standing at my pass side door and a guy walked up looking in my car. I asked him if I could help him and who he was looking for. he replied he was looking for a guy named steven and started to walk away and said i had a nice car. Going to take my weapon permit class . Nobody named steve lives at my house. I live a few blocks from downtown vancouver so watch out for a chubby teen wearing jordans . Keep your doors locked and guns loaded.

I don't think they're the same wheels, the one's in the security pic look a lot like RS/RS reps... (I'd guess the latter just from the depth of the wheel)

what depth? do you have higher resolution photos that you're hiding? cause i cant tell the "depth" from that photo.. i said identical, not the same

Look at the wheels, it doesn't look like there's much lip to them. Some reps have that same no lip look, that's why when I look at that picture, I see RS or RS reps (I kinda doubt they're real RS' though for some reason). In addition, there's no shadowing on the center of the wheel as if it had big lips.

As for the design of the wheel itself, I guess I don't know what you mean when you say "identical" because as far as I can gather, the security footage shows RS or RS rep wheels and the pic posted of that other Jetta has LM/LM reps. I wouldn't say those two are identical, personally. No hate

    No lip RS:

RS with lip (note the shadowing on the rear wheel):

Unless they replaced or painted the rear bumper then it's a different car. No black trim vs. black trim on rear bumper.

Survallance photo clearly looks like RS-alike wheels, the ones you posted are LM-alikes.

Some of the arguments being made for why it couldn't be the same car as the photos are hilarious...

The rear bumper can easily be textured in a half an hour. The mirrors can be painted with a can of touch up paint. The bike mounts for the rack attach TO the cross bars. Wheels change all the time.

I'm not saying it's the same car, but all of those things could change in less than a day without even breaking a sweat.
    oh herro.
