Thread: No crank on MK3 vr6

    1998 vr6 gti. The car randomly would not start one night, came back the next morning and it started right up. 2 days later it had the same issue would not crank at all. The alarm system had been acting up lately so I figured that was the problem. The red light on the drivers door by the lock no longer blinks red. I did this jimmy mod to bypass the alarm and it still will not crank http://faculty.ccp.edu/faculty/dreed...alarmhelp2.htm. I do not really know what to do at this point, I am going to try to jump the starter manually tomorrow to see if the starter is the problem. Otherwise my only other guess would be an ignition switch. Any help or speculation would be great, Thank you

    Change starter fluid.

    check your cam and crank position sensors

    I already checked my starter fluid hahaha. But I will def check the clutch switch and the cam and crank sensors. Clutch switch seems logical
