Going to keep this somewhat brief, mainly because I'm tired....I have to use a laptop at work. It's in a docking station and I have 2 external monitors. They are like 15-16", just slightely bigger that the one on the laptop
I have to have so much junk open, even with 2 monitors it gets crowded fast. I was looking at the DualHead2Go, but found it had mixed reviews (either they loved or hated it).
Any one have personal experience with one of these? Or suggest something similar?
I thought about a larger monitor, and could get one for the same price (~$200). The team lead is running a larger monitor and 1 15" that everyone else has, but he doesn't do the same work the actual team does. There are other departments that everyone either has dual 22" or triple 15". Why we can't....don't know.
The multiple programs I have open at one time don't really lend themselves well to sharing screens. The individual programs have information throughout the entire window that I need to be able to read at any given time, then multiply that by 4. There are another 3 programs that I use, but aren't as intense.
I've previously worked in a call center where I actually had more windows/programs open at any given time, but only needed 2 maybe 3 of them at a time. I counted one day because I thought it was rediculous the ammount of stuff I had open - 10 IE windows (didn't have tabbed browsing) plus 7 other programs.
Oh believe me, I'm not a big fan of the tiny monitors. I've been running dual 22" at home for personal/school use for a long time.
