Thread: FS: 2007 A3- Ibis White, S-line, 2.0T, 6MT, 50k+ miles (MD)

  1. 10-02-2012 12:01 AM #1
Just picked up a new car, so this one needs to go now. I am selling my 2007 Audi A3 S-line, currently the car has 58,xxx miles on it and I have zero issues wrong with the car mechanically.

This A3 is in great shape overall and I have taken good care of it since it has been in my ownership (I am the second owner) the last three years. The car has been to the dealer to have the "known" FSI issues addressed and everything was replaced before any issues occurred just to be on the safe side. The only item that will need to replaced again in the future is the cam follower, which was is in great shape when last checked around 40k miles. I have all the dealer invoices and all receipts for items purchased for this car in the time that I have owned it and some from the previous owner as well. I can honestly say that all the car needs is a nice detail and a new owner.

    Modifications:

    Engine
    -2.0T FSI with 58k miles
    -6 speed manual
-Diverter valve replaced with OEM D Version
    -HPA short shifter
    -ECS dog-bone mount insert

    Exterior
    -Ibis White paint color
    -S-line bumpers and styling
-Clear bra on front bumper and hood (done in 2007 from PO)
    -Votex side skirts (modified/color matched)
-Painted side marker lights (color matched)
    -Blacked out s-line front grille
-Gloss black rear valence center section (exhaust surround)
    -Yellow lower fogs (lamin-x)

    Interior
    -Open sky, dual moon roofs
    -Brushed aluminum interior trims
-OEM Bose Symphony II stereo with 6 disc in-dash
    -Dice ipod interface unit
    -Black premium leather seats
    -OEM Rear hatch liner
-OEM carpet (and rubber) floor mats

    Suspension
-Vmaxx dampening adjustable coil-overs (~15k miles)
    -Adjustable front swaybar end-links

    Wheels/Tires
-Stock bi-color 17x7.5” wheels in great shape overall, minimal markings
-215/45/17 Nankang NS-II tires, fronts have 70% tread, rears have 80% tread

    Brakes
    -100% stock

    Maintenance:
    -Front strut mounts/bearings (@40k miles)
    -Cam follower (@40k miles)
    -Brake fluid exchange (@50k miles)
    -Interior cabin filter (@50k miles)
    -Coolant exchange (@50k miles)
    -Engine air filter (@55k miles)
-Oil changes every 5k, with 5w40 Mobil 1 Syn. (just done @55k miles)

    Extras
-Full size spare wheel and oem saver spare
-Any parts that have been removed previously (suspension, etc..)
    -Extra oem parts

    Photos (in no real order)

(Old wheels, not included in this sale)

Very MINOR damage that occurred at VAG Fair earlier this year, and was repaired. Majority of the marks simply buffed out, and cant even tell this happened.

    Flaws/Issues
-Minor scratches (only clear coat deep) in a few spots around the car, maybe 3-4 I can think of total
-Front bumper has scrapes underneath and one rub mark on the bottom (driver side front) but barely goes through the clear bra into the paint
-A few wheels have very minor surface scratches, but no curb rash!
-Rear brake pads are starting to make a squeal sound (on light contact), will need new rear brake pads at some point (still at 40-50% though)
-Hit and run damage as shown above, which was fixed under insurance and done by a shop who honestly does some of the best quality work around (shop's painter just won Top Dawg at H20i '12)

NADA lists the car for $18,870 (as of 4/20/13) with the original car options and current mileage. Not taking into account the additional factory options or upgrades since. Please don’t bother wasting my time or yours with any lower offers. I have the [clean] title in hand and will only accept cash or a cashier’s check with my name on it.

    Prices are FIRM at:
$17,750 as is, including current modifications and all stock/ spare parts
$17,250 without coilovers, spacers, etc.. (will also require a $250 deposit before I take items off so I am not wasting my time)

Car is located in White Plains, MD 20695. Shoot me a message if you are interested in coming to see the car or have any other questions. Thanks for looking

That is what I have listed, so yes. I don't have all that many photos of the car on stock wheels, so I added the ones with previous wheels to show what it could look like if the buyer wanted to do the whole "slammed and stretched look."

Everything you asked is actually posted above in the for sale post at the top. Spacers are 20mm in the rear, none on the fronts in the picture but I have had 12mm on the fronts to sit flush previously.

I Love your A3. I would love to have it. The pricing is a little high since the damages. KBB values it at $18k in excellent condition. I understand the value of an Audi since Ive had one. Good Luck with sale

Well as car dealerships, state motor vehicle associations and insurance companies do not use KBB.com because of the constant flux in values that are typically much lower than the actual value for any vehicle, I did not base my pricing from there.. nor will I ever.

I feel that by using a source such as NADA.com which insurance companies, state motor vehicle associations and dealerships use, the value rates for this car are at a very fair and reasonable standpoint. Without modifications I have placed the car over $1,000 under the current good standing value, keeping in mind the minor incidents which have occured and been explained as a full disclosure for the sale of the car.

I have no problem selling the car for a fair value without the modifications that I have put on the car previously. I have also had two people come to look at the car and have basically no issues with the price or the condition of the car for that matter... neither party was able to get approval for a loan was the only thing holding them back. Their loan companies did not want to deal with private seller vehicles apparently, even if I brought them the title myself. I guess I can understand this and the fact that not everyone has $20k just laying around for a new car.

    Thanks for the interest.

If it is a mkiv R, has under 90k miles, and is not T-Red I may actually consider it. Looking at mkiv R's currently. Shoot me a msg if it meets those qualifications

It does look very well maintained but I do not normally buy cars with over 100k miles, unless it's a mkii then it has to be under 125k. Thanks for the interest though
