Did I mention she only cost $750? 👍
And it came with a stack of paperwork. History from way back. Even the original order form.

Ha man you lucky dog. I search craigslist all the time for jettas and I can never find any down here.
My next car for sure :-P Looks great. Any luck selling your rabbit? You should finish it!

No luck with the hatch.
It's tough owning 3 mk1's and an e30!
I've been watching for a Jetta for two years now!

Things have been slow, I've been working on the hatch and e30, today I did throw on a set of bumpers I had laying around.

Wow, I never knew those seats were made by recaro?
Very cool
The car looks good! Any other plans for it?
You should give it a good cut polish though, I'm sure that colour could come out looking amazing! It's almost there now, just dull

Thank you! And plans are coming along, looking for te right setup on everything. I have leads to an engine swap, and no, not a vr6. Not really my taste for a mk1. Until the deal is sealed, it shall remain a secret.
It's my daily and my back up is my 4runner which should be undergoing a straight axle swap. So until then, this needs to stay reliable.
As for the paint, it was a respray done maybe 6 or 7 years ago. When I bought it, it sat under a car cover, which is where it got its odd fading. The clear coat is almost completely gone sadly. Plus to fix that as well, when the time comes.

Well I have some small updates.
Got all new door handles, all new door handle gaskets, new gas cap, and clips for the side trim. I converted the euro plate to LED lights as well.
Sold the XXR wheels and am back on original wheels. Lowered the coilovers so I'm sitting at 21 inches now.
Have plans to notch the frame, build front strut caps and build rear drop plates.
I am also on the hunt to find the lower rocker panel trim, no luck thus far.
Here's an older picture of the line up. My car, brothers 83 Toyota and my brothers old caddy, which is sold, awaiting pick up.
