I'm still on here occasionally, but thats because my job is vortex friendly. I'll catch you up Ron, PDX still is angry after the botched enema. Steveo is all about dem emkay fours. Rumor has it that he ditched tix for lucero for a skrillix show. Vegas posts a lot of pictures of his kid on facebook, and his red gti build was the best thing I've seen in a while. Adam finally graduated college, yup thats right, our mustachioed little brother we loved to hate finally became a big boy. As for me, I still like turtles and I'm researching a sex change operation. It would take me from a short Italian man to a six foot greek goddess. I'm still thinking about names, help a sister out.

So next month it will be 8 years on here, don't post in here much, mostly visit the technical forums.
Seems to be less about project cars in here now and more about keeping the daily running, which is cool but, I like seeing the build threads, and updates.
These cars are in a period where new OE parts are drying up, but the aftermarket supply has yet to fully kick in, but it will, because the demand will increase. Also I've seen the amount of companies that supply cool, good quality functional accessories slowly go away except for maybe in the UK. thank goodness we have TTTuning, GAP and Parts4VW's.
Its going to be all about saving good solid rebuildable MKII cars after everybody is done with cutting them up, throwing in VR6 engines, cable shifted transmissions, and wiping out the suspensions because they scrape the ground while driving.
Full circle, so the future projets will be more period correct with performance oriented 8V and 16V engines and transmsions, god knows there are plentiful now, clean OE style body, more about simple OE look with reasonable lowering, engineered quality, actually taking time to build a damn performance engine and less throwing a VR6 or 1.8T lug in a beater and asking which wheels should I buy. Even though the heat or the lights or the brakes don't work.
And then I will be able hear all you bitching about cars looking all the same again, and complaining about oh no, he is running german quality BBS wheels. whats right is right.

i wish this place was as fun as it used to be. i've met so many cool dudes through this site and lately it feels like i want to avoid most people on here when i am at shows and such.

Wow, most of the OGs are gone. I still come by once in a while.

most have moved on with their lives or have grown out of it, or are just tired of the kids coming in acting like tards and just lurk instead.

Been here since 2001, never really post much. But I agree with the way most of the forums are going, it's rare to find a newish thread with solid content. I remember back in the day there were so many good threads you could literally spend an entire day just reading through them.

I will never grow out of it!I don't post here much.
But yeah, it's definitely changed over the past 11-12 yrs. I have moved on from my MK2's, & 3's. I will always drive a Euro, and I will most def be buying another MK2. The car I miss the most out of anything. Calloway turbo'd 86 GTI, full Kamei kit, on 16" chrome AZEV's.
^ Nice Montana btw.

im still here, sorta... though not really active in the mk2 forum much. building the last version of my 16vt before i pass it on to someone else!
sorta moved on from mk2s... finishing up a mild resto of an old rolls royce right now, picked up an mgb gt to restore this winter, and probably picking up an exige as a fun car soon-ish... i guess that means im into british carsthat sort of happened on accident. my daily driver is still german though!
i guess if its slow in here maybe i can start posting some pictures of the new 16vt motor?![]()
