Thread: 2012 Hip Hop

  1. 10-02-2012 08:25 AM #1
There have been some good releases this year for music in general, but I feel like I haven't found any good hip hop. Please post up your favorite hip hop releases from this year. Thanks!

Thanks for the links, but I don't have time to listen to all of that ****. If you noticed in the OP I asked for people to post up their favorite hip-hop albums from the year, not every single album that came out each month.

I agree with those listed twerked.

spoolin215 I put up those list to give people an idea of what is usually coming out retail. I barely put up all the good quality free material that is out there. I listen to it as well and I can start making a list. Believe there is a lot of quality Hip Hop that has come out each year so far. I'm glad to see someone ask this on here. It's been a while.

I grew up on hip hop, and was a party DJ in the 80s and 90s.
lately i have not liked any new hip hop. but Kendrick Lamar is pretty good.

***also, if you eat a lot of snacks, and buy a Porsche, this is what happens:

Sweet! Member of Mayday is on vortex. Been listening to you guys since I first found out directly from Wreckonize. I think it was 2006 or 2007 when the track with Ras Kass was out. I met Wreckonize and he was talking about the group. I own the self-titled album, Stuck On An Island and Technology EP. Those recent remixes I heard are nice. I didn't pick up the new album yet. Spent too much money on music this year. I'll buy it soon though.

BTW crannky. Which member are you?

I still have more to add to this list. Kendrick Lamar is nice, so are other members of Black Hippy (Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, Schoolboy Q). They all have their own style. I started out listening to Jay Rock years back before any of the other guys then K.Dot (now known as Kendrick Lamar). Good to see these guys have become successful and the same goes to Mayday.
