Broken rear shock must be replaced - or you can follow the thread in the MKIV forum to possibly rebuild it with another insert. As it was being unbolted from the bottom (to adjust ride height), the adjuster snapped off - was attached to shock mount. It was unmounted at a local reputable VW/Audi shop, so it was not user error. B&G never responded to me, so I went back to my old Koni Yellows and these sat.

got a pic of the drop? i'm trying to get some for my NB but i don't want to go too low yet and from what i've seen 1.5" looks to be perfect but i just want to double check. if you'll do $50, i can come get them this weekend. i live on ft. meade near columbia.
