Hey guys This is my first car and its a mk4 jetta wagon 2.0 manual I bought for $1000 . He sold it because he could not figure out why the brake light was on. he had replaced the front brake , hand brake , rotors brake lines and fluid. When he sold it to me he gave me a set of new brake and rotors for the back and told me good luck. After some snooping online and some investigation i found out it was only the brake light sensor was loose. So as of right now im happy with my buy. even tho it wont be on the road till after Christmas. with 200K kms and little money I dont know how much modding ill be doing but i felt the need to share. Only thing is the original owner had stripped it, Floor matts arm rest wheels rearview mirror, tools from back and even the owners manual . Regardless the only running VW on my local classifieds for under 2k and the body is solid no rust besides a few dings. (in Newfoundland no rust is huge But this car is from inland so thats why) Regardless ive been reading these forums for a while and have always loved vw mainly due to the fact my older brother always loved vws and a jettas not a civic or cavalier.

And this is the picture from the classified

opinions on these wheels for my wagon.

There MSR 18s I found on the classifieds for $200. Its with the tires but two of them need to be replaced. Anyone know much about the quality of MSR I know there cheap new online.

Dunno about the quality but I think they look great. Nice job snagging the car for cheap.

Thanks yea Only reason I got the car is because when the guy posted it he put the make as jetta and not Volkswagen so in order to really find it was to just search threw or search Make Jetta model wagon. its views where way down which made for an easy score. Any reason on the pass? I was looking for 17s but this deal seems good.

Good advice . Yea ive been keeping an eye glued to those two threads . Really giving me a clue what direction I wanna go, For starting tho its maintenance and wheels then Im gonna start putting penny together for other things. as of now just looking into going a bit lower and a few cosmetics but keep it modest.

Your car would look better with hubcaps on than those multi lug wheels. They dont look like they belong on a vw.

Great find on picking up a running wagon for a grand. Dont rush to modify it make sure its reliable first.

Maintenance before mods, and low before wheels.

    Good luck

Yea i was looking at build threads where they started with multi lugs and seen the error in my ways. I agree first thing im doing is getting the codes and seeing whats what. Thanks for the advice . I think im going to wait till next year for low. mainly due to a nasty curb in my drive way that wont me redone till spring and winter is prime time to get used wheels. Im on a budget and wanns keep the deals good. theres astros up now for a while and if they dont sell by november im going to low ball them and hope for the best. thanks every one good buy by lots of classified surfing
