Just got this car and was overheating to 230 deg and drinking water. Is it common for these motors to blow head gaskets at 107,000?
    I like Turbo's

Milage has nothing to do with it. If the person before you did not mantain the cooling system; or overheated the engine; that does it.

    sounds common on yours...

    time to bite the bullet:

pull the head, get it checked out and fixed if needed and possible. Valves and guides are probably still serviceable. If the head is too warped you can easily score a replacement

    timing belt
    3 front seals
    water pump
    thermostat

rock on. These cars and mills will easily surpass 200K miles with proper maintenance.
