I don't have any serious collections, being a broke college student tends to prevent any serious collections from starting. I do have some small ones though.

-Random WWII and Cold War military stuff. I've got a Gebirgsjaeger WWII backpack, WWII badges, bayonets, camo coats, a DDR NVA helmet and some other stuff.

-1/35th scale military models. Back when I worked more there were probably over 20 kits in my stash. I've got a ton of built kits and I've actually won a few awards for my builds.

    - For every European city I visit I try to buy a patch of the city crest or something similar so I can put it on my big back pack. I look at them like kill marks on a fighter plane.

-Like everyone else I've got a lot of beer glasses. I tend to focus on ones with beer company logos, and hand painted "steins".

Oops... Forgot about my "work" collection of industry trade show swag (my favorite being foam hand exercisers),
and my growing collection of depth crushed Styrofoam coffee cups from jobs I've been on. The little one in the middle went to 17,000 feet.

I'm just here for the sanctimonious circle jerk.

Old cell phones. I have pretty much every cell phone I've had since about the mid-late 90's (about 15 in all, I've unfortunately not been able to hold onto a few of them).

And I recently acquired my dad's old Motorola Dynatac!

Too bad the antenna is cracking though.

I collect handpulled screenprint rock show posters. Signed and numbered ones. I get them matted and framed, gallery-style. It's a nice way to support local artists and printmakers and remember some great and not-so-great gigs.

    Some of my faves:

I collect reconstructive surgeries from times I think I am funny, when I am not! HA!

But seriously I collect shot glasses, and my lady collects anything and everything. I am legitimately living with a hoarder in training.

I used to collect Maisto scale models, until my sister decided to let her spawn play smash up derby with them.

I remember going over there once when I was 12, and he opened up his safe and went through all the books he had with me. It blew my mind. He's got some legendary stuff, and even a lot of really weird oddball stuff from the 50's-60's.

I still have my baseball, football, hockey, and basketball cards I collected as a young lad.

Now I collect WWII stuff. Mainly posters and uniforms. I really have a thing for the propoganda posters though.
Current fuel suckers: 2012 Mitsubishi Evo X, 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500 Duramax, 2002 Ford F-350 'stoke, 2010 Chevy Equinox monkey hauler, 1995 BMW M3 track project, 1962 Mercury Monterey the never ending project.

Lego and 1:43 scale race cars. i also have a bunch of 1:18 scale cars, but those have jumped in price (~$120+) and they take up more space, so 1:43 is what i settled on.

Tons of die-cast cars, about 1200 CDs, 300-400 books, old video game systems (Atari 2600, Intellivision and Intellivision II, NES, Sega Genesis).

[QUOTE=DubsesdA3;79206375]I have thousands of Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars. /QUOTE]

I think we all do. I know I have 4 large totes full of them, and they are 90% VW's.

Mine is too. I used to have 5 of those here, but lost them in moves and such. The one I have left here has a cracked antenna.

I collect VW Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars, RC cars (I have about 20 of them here right now), and anything vintage. Power tools, tool boxes, Radio flyer wagons, etc.. Garage sales this summer paid off well.

Another 1/18 scale diecast collector here. I shudder to think how many I have, but I would guess about 120+ on display and another 200-300 taking up space in my basement. Add in the 100 or so 1/43 models and gawd knows how many stupid 1/64 Hotwheels, JLs, Matchbox crap.

Sad thing is I keep buying more and selling less. I may have some "hoarder" in my blood.

Aside from that, I also collect bicentennial quarters, only because 1976 was a good year!

SD cards (like potato chips, you can't have just one)
Digital cameras (I'm really trying to stop)

Elongated souvenir pennies - whenever I see a penny crusher, I have to use it!

During parties we leave out polishing gloves. It never fails that she has shiny nipples by the end of the party. She's one of 50 made for the Hunt Brothers by artist Ramon Parmenter. They gave them to their top silver traders as gifts. She's fine silver. The originals are still offered in bronze.

I collect bottle caps from beers and sodas in hopes of one day creating a bar top or coffee table top with them. I have several hundred and have been collecting for about two and a half years.

For the past four years or so my roommates and I have been tossing bottle caps on the top of our cabinets every time we open a beer. Anyone who comes over for beers does the same.

The collection is on it's third house. Most of them are in 4' tall plastic Bud Light bottle and it's mostly full. There are at least two or three hundred more currently on top of the cabinets. I don't have an exact number but it's gotta be in the thousands. I'll take a pic when I get home.

Aside from firearms......have an interest in true crime items (art, letters, signed photos, etc).

Also early memento mori related postcards, include skulls. All fall in a relatively brief period of time...most 1905-1912.

    A few of them....

I used to collect football, baseball and basketball cards but got tired of it because most of the cards sucked. I also collected 1:18 die cast cars for awhile. I'd like to get back into that when I can afford nicer models than the Maisto junk they sell at Costco.

I don't really collect much any more. I'm more interested in putting together a halfway decent wardrobe.

    PEZ dispensers, about 180.

Minor league baseball caps about 80 of them, spelled out the alphabet back when I had them all displayed.

I don't collect much of anything. Have many hobbies which are material intensive (historical/fictional wargaming enthusiast....firearms enthusiast etc.) but none of it is for simply collection purposes.

I collect N-scale trains (1:160) because it is another hobby of mine. Its a pretty humble collection, mostly Atlas and Kato stuff. I have about 20 vintage cars from the early 90's and a pile of new stuff.

Some of the locomotives are only about 5 inches in length and for some reaon I torture myself with adding tiny details to them, which most wouldn't notice at first glance, but it makes for nice pics

An SD-70M I did up last winter... added MU hoses, lash-up cables, windshield wipers, sun visors, hand-painted hand rails and step sills, cut levers, etc

This is the stock SD70M for comparison

Any other train guys out there in the OT?
