It would probably be easier to have it wrapped in black vinyl or carbon fiber that try and replace it.

Good (Insert time of day here),
Has anyone gone from chrome weather stripping on the doors back to black? If so, was it difficult or does it involve a master hand and tools rented from NASA?

I have been kicking around a vinyl wrap, but I only want to have to do it once. Colorado summers and winters can get extreme and I want to make sure it lasts for 5+ years...

There was a thread at one time where someone priced the trim from the dealer to be 1K+. I would gladly do vinyl twice or three times for a lot less

Wow, I guess it's true when they say you always want what you don't have. I was wondering how expensive it would be to ADD the chrome molding.![]()
