I am looking at some 18" wheels. They have a 35 offset. Will this be an issue on a GTI Mark VI that has not been lowered and is stock at this point? Will i have to roll the fenders?

At stock height, that's no problem. It might look strange (aftermarket wheels don't lend themselves well to a car that's not lowered), but if you do lower it, you will have rubbing issues.

I have decided to go with 18" TSW Nurburgring. Staggered wheels an the offset i think should not be an issue. =)

What suspension did you plan on going with? Tire sizing and suspension set up will come into play with this as well.

I was thinking about this as well... See the BMW's and Mercedes cars with these type of tires and for my project stage 3 baby I know it would be awesome. My thoughts were to go 19's in the rear and 18's up front. Or just 19's for all four wheels. My thoughts were to add a 30mm spacer to keep from rubbing the wheel well. I still don't know whether it would be better to jus lower or convert to air. I noticed on a YouTube vid of a BMW that uses air but has 3 settings: conventional daily driving, a middle setting and a lowered for racing setting. CAn anyone shed some light on this and is that option available to us?

A 30mm spacer to avoid rubbing the wheel wheel? Your outside should may be sitting beyond the fender. Unless these wheels have Porsche/Corvette offsets in mind, that is fairly extreme.

What offsets/widths are you thinking about?
