    2.0 Aba transmission options?

    I was wondering if I could swap the tdi auto trans into my golf. I read somewhere its got 5 gears. Am I wrong? If I am is there a swap I can do? If so what will I need? Thanks guys.

    a 97 would be a 4 speed auto. Its fairly easy to convert to 5 speed manual. There's lots of info here on vwvortex and on tdiclub.
