Thread: Need recommendations for affordable, yet good looking, blacked out watches

  1. 10-03-2012 02:33 PM #1
I'm looking for a somewhat plain looking blacked out watch. There are a few I have found online, but I really don't know anything about watches and i'm not sure where else to look.
    Diesel

    Nixon

    Citizen(the one I'm leaning towards)

Any help would be awesome. Max that I'm willing to spend would be around $300. Thanks

I've been in the market for some months but can't decide on the price range and style. If you check Amazon, there are all-black models from Luminox, Victorinox, Citizen, Invicta, Ebel, Oris, and others.

What's your price range? Do you want a leather band or metal? Quartz or automatic? What size dial are you interested in?

Lot's of models and sizes to choose from, however, I like the Diesel that you posted.

My wife just bought me the Citizen and it's a great watch. However, I will be replacing the band with a leather one.

My girlfriend just got me this for my birthday today. I love it, Citizen Nighthawk black. I've been eyeing it up for quite a few months. It's part of their Eco-Drive series. It's darker than this picture would make it seem.

Can be ordered via E-Bay cheaper than the $450 price tag would suggest ($299):

I like that nighthawk alot, but I would only get it if it came with a leather band. I really like this Luminox, but the price is kinda steep.

    and this one too

Great watch from an awsome company. I have one and I love it.

You'll get a leather band as well as rubber dive band. Nice movment with a domed sapphire crystal with AR coating.

They have smaller ones, around 44mm.

Mica watches finally got the pre-orders up for their new line, so I ordered this instead. I'll still be looking around for a blacked out watch though.

Basically this would never be my daily wear watch, but I am glad I own it.
