I came in expecting a "golden era" Honda.

The E30 M3 came out in 1986, that makes it a "classic" in the most basic sense (more than 25 years old) but also it is easily one in terms of collectability.

Odd, because this is THE barn find that I have always dreamed about finding (E30 M3, that is).

Can we please stop using the phrase "golden era" when referring to Hondas of the '90s. Like honestly, they aren't that special. This phrase is giving me cancer. Please stop, I don't want cancer.

Now, it would be weird to find an E30 M3 in a barn with half an eyelid still attached.

now the important question... are e30 m3 prices high enough to warrant bringing back one in such sad shape?

Sad shape? Are we looking at the same car? Just needs a new grill and a wash/wax.

whenever ive run across cars that look like that on the outside, the inside is basically a total loss from moss/mold/mildew. not to mention most of the things under the hood that are made out of rubber are also in pretty poor shape as it tends to not age well in that environment.

that car may be an exception, but i doubt it.

I'd take my 8th gen SI over just about any 90's Honda for comparable value.

Considering it's a Rob. thread I was expecting a low miles nearly mint 20 year old econo box found in a garage that also happens to be a potential candidate for a winter beater.

I tried searching and could not come up with anything. The URL of the pic gives no help and there are too many E30 M3 threads on bimmerforums to find it easily via google. If somebody knows what to type to find the thread, just give it up already.
