This is your warning. Next time get a flame suit on and a butt plug in because there's some real a$$holes on here and they'll tear you apart when it's obvious that you hadn't searched...

      What's your engine

You should actually get away with doing a SAI delete... I haven't done it, so I'm not sure how though

Do a vac test on the car via the FAQ stuff. It's either a leak through the housing for the SAI or the pump itself is shot

No. The SAIP is a pollution control device and only runs briefly at startup. It has no effect on the operation of the engine. Depending on where you live, you'll probably have to get it fixed to pass inspection.

Ideal solution is to restore the stock airbox; usually improves performance as well. Some "chip" manufacturers, as part of upgrading your ECU, will delete the code that checks the SAI system.

Ian, if he has deleted the stock airbox we have no idea of the condition or even presence of the SAI hoses that should be connected to it. Testing as though it was stock won't tell him anything; for all we knew those parts went out in the trash.

Didn't think of that. I was under the assumption he still kept the stock box and such. I don't know anything bout what he's done lol

That code just popped up on my 01 Wagon with AWM engine in it...this is the first time so I just cleared it.
Motor is 100% stock at this point.
