Why is the hotpocket thing so amusing to people here?

I have seen a few other threads where people post about a stolen car and they ususally aren't flamed like this one.
    Current: '00 Mustang GT 5MT | '04 Mazda 6i 5MT
    Past: '01 Maxima SE 5MT | '03 G35 Coupe 6MT | '00 Accord SE 5MT | '00 Maxima SE 4AT | '97 Civic CX 5MT | '98 Maxima GXE 5MT

One of these hot pockets was injected with cat piss. I know which one, do you?"

    Back on topic:
OP, tell your friend to move out of that sh*t-hole town... it's surrounded by even greater sh*t-hole towns and cities (e.g. Elizabeth, Newark, Irvington etc...)

You're a better man than I if you can determine which pockets are filled with cat piss and which arent by taste alone
Latest Article: Historically Accurate. Apparently Wildly Inappropriate.

The fact you even thought of this creeps me out. I was thinking more along the lines of marking either one with a sharpie

Why arbitrarily put in this forum? Why not all car forums? Even if you put it on all the car forums now you may get 10 people in that very specific area who are now aware of it, but have to be on the road in a specific location to see it and actually remember the license plate or sticker. Just think about it. A car forum is probably the worst place to get the word out.. I know you are probably just pissed and telling the story but you can't honestly think this will help find the car.

I know you may think I am being d1ck but just think about it, its a waste of time.

I live in the area, and I've also had a car stolen out of my driveway (and I think I even made a post about it). The truth is it sucks to be a victim like this and any help you can get is always appreciated. No one will probably ever see the car, but the more awareness out there the more chance there is it will be seen.

Now, on the other side of the coin, my car sat 2 miles from my house in front of someone's house untouched for 3 months before the cops found it. No TCL'ers found it, no LEO's found it, and it was wide in the open. In fact I've been 1 block away from it on several occasions.

Good luck to the owner but chances are that unless the keys were in it that it was targetted and is already stripped.

just get a check from insurance and call it a day. you most likely won't find it...it's probably scattered across Newark in 5,000 pieces by now.

Don't these cars have some kind of anti-theft/immobilizer/ chip key?

Yup. I figured this couldn't hurt anything. Maybe I should have used a photo without a MK4 in it.

Never thought I'd find someone else from Linden on TCL. I'll keep an eye out but at this point it's most likely in Elizabeth or Newark

So, a friend of mine was dropping me off at home one morning, and parked on the street in from of my duplex was a mitsu eclipse that looked a lot like the one stolen from a buddy of my friend. Turns out it was. Car was stolen right before the million man march and had about the right number of miles to drive to DC and back. The floor was littered with 20 or so empty packs of Kool's cigarettes, go figure. It is possible someone could find it
