Car title for registration?

Im moving to oahu in 2 months for the army. I want to have my mk2 gti shipped there but i dont have the title. In new hampshire you dont need a title if the car is 15 years or older. Its a 91 gti on coilovers with RS's. do i need the title to register it ? How picky is hawaii with lowered cars ?

you def need a title, you can put a lein on it rhough DMV here or there..if i were you i would get fresh registration before you ship it, then do your out of state reg here, so you jsut have to do safety. if you have someone who can register your car back home for you, you can jsut do the out of state every year,etc.

if the car isn't obnoxious or eye catching(pink, hazard yellow, loud as fuk,etc). it can slip by being low

What do you mean by lein? Will i be able to drive it ?

you can drive it of you keep it as i said. it Lein is like putting a warrant or something similar (been drinking bare with me) to request for the last known owner to provide the title or to say UT was sold, then the state our dmv can give you one.

most states are fairly easy, research on the ol Web or on Honolulu dmv .org our what have you
